Word of Mouth Campaigns:

The idea of word of mouth (WOM) is not new. All of us have been spreading the word for years, via those “hey-have-you-heard-about” referrals to and from our friends, family, and co-workers. Word of mouth is information we value and trust, whether we are talking about books, movies, products, services, or forming opinions on events that happen around us every day. It is also information we are most likely to be interested in and take action on because it comes from a source that we trust because, in many cases, the source knows us as well as we know ourselves.

For your product or brand or service, consumers can share experiences, good or bad, with a subset of people who share similar interests, desires, and needs. They can tell you about new ways for you to do things, or about enhancements to your products that you may have never considered. With so many ways to amplify word of mouth, it can overwhelm even the sharpest marketer when it comes to deciding what is necessary and when it is necessary to participate and how to measure your results.

Ways we help you execute a successful word of mouth campaign include:

  • Discovery of the opportunities and impact word-of-mouth marketing can have on your brand
  • Analysis of the purchasing behavior of your most valuable customers and their activity within your markets
  • Development of a WOM strategy that integrates both online and offline tactics
  • Tracking of results that are most important to your success, whether it be total sales, new leads, customer referrals, etc.
  • Amplifying word of mouth possibilities with your various audience segments by providing easy ways and/or customized materials for them to use when sharing information
